1. OVERVIEW

The Xirsix 6S 40Ah LTO Module is engineered for demanding 12V-class applications including automotive auxiliary power, off-grid systems, and motive use. This Limited Warranty provides full repair or replacement coverage for qualifying battery failures under normal usage for twenty (20) years from the original date of purchase. This document must be read together with the Technical Datasheet & User Guide (XIR-DS-MOD6S40-001). All specifications, voltage limits, temperature guidelines, and safety warnings in that document form an integral part of this warranty. The module contains no built-in BMS or protection circuitry; users are solely responsible for implementing appropriate external safeguards.

2. WARRANTY PERIOD

Coverage commences on the documented date of original purchase by the end-user and continues for twenty (20) years. For subsequent owners, coverage transfers only if the new owner registers the module with Xirsix within thirty (30) days of acquisition and furnishes proof of the original purchase date. Registration is strongly recommended for all purchasers to expedite claims and receive product updates.

3. COVERED FAILURES

Xirsix warrants the module to be free from defects in materials and workmanship that cause failure to perform its intended function when operated under normal conditions and in strict accordance with published specifications. Qualifying covered failures include: manufacturing defects in cells, the integrated 5A capacitive balancer, busbars, terminals, or PETG enclosure resulting in premature inoperability or capacity retention below 80% of the rated 40 Ah when tested under standard conditions (25 °C, ~0.2 C discharge rate, within voltage limits). Normal LTO calendar aging and high-cycle fade consistent with published cell data (~25,000 cycles to ≥80% capacity) are expected and not covered as defects.

4. EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover failures or damage arising from the following (standard industry clauses included for clarity and protection of both parties):

5. CONDITIONS FOR COVERAGE

Valid coverage requires that the module has been installed, charged, discharged, stored, and maintained in full compliance with the Technical Datasheet & User Guide. This includes maintaining voltages preferably within the ideal 11–15 V operating range, employing suitable external fusing and system-level protection (over/under-voltage, current, thermal), and providing adequate ventilation or cooling in high-temperature environments. The integrated balancer supports cell health during normal charging but does not replace proper system design or external protections.

6. REMEDIES AND CLAIM PROCEDURE

If a covered failure is confirmed within the warranty period, Xirsix will, at its sole discretion: (a) repair the module at no charge for parts and labor, (b) replace it with a new or factory-refurbished equivalent, or (c) issue a credit toward a future purchase. Remedies are limited strictly to the module. Xirsix does not cover labor for removal/installation, shipping costs (unless pre-approved in writing), consequential damages, downtime, towing, lost productivity, or any other indirect costs. Claim Process: Contact Xirsix support (support@xirsix.com or designated channels) with proof of purchase, module serial number, detailed description of the issue and operating history, and supporting photographs or test data. An RMA number and return instructions will be provided. Package securely using original or equivalent protective materials and ship per instructions (customer bears inbound shipping cost unless otherwise agreed). Xirsix inspects returned units and notifies the claimant of the determination, typically within ten (10) business days of receipt. Approved replacements/repairs are returned with reasonable ground shipping covered by Xirsix within the continental United States.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & GENERAL TERMS

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Xirsix's aggregate liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected module. Xirsix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages—including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity, or personal injury—regardless of the form of action or theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This Limited Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Fe County, New Mexico. If any provision of this warranty is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. THIS DOCUMENT, TOGETHER WITH THE TECHNICAL DATASHEET & USER GUIDE, CONSTITUTES THE ENTIRE WARRANTY AGREEMENT and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous representations, warranties, or agreements. No modification is valid unless in writing and signed by an authorized Xirsix representative. Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed except where prohibited by law (including the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act for consumer products). Your legal rights may vary by jurisdiction.

IMPORTANT NOTICE — READ CAREFULLY

This module contains NO BUILT-IN PROTECTION CIRCUITRY (no BMS, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, or thermal protection). Users must ensure module voltage remains within 9.0 V – 17.4 V at all times and implement appropriate external system safeguards. Exceeding these limits, operating outside specified temperature or C-rate guidelines, or failing to follow the Datasheet can cause permanent cell damage, reduced life, fire risk, or safety hazards and will void this warranty.

Retain this warranty statement, your original dated proof of purchase, and packaging for the full twenty-year period. For questions, registration, or to initiate a claim, contact Xirsix support or visit the company website.
